Other parents are your greatest source of information about the shared experience of raising a child who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing (HoH).
We have a range of video stories from different perspectives – parents, professionals and Deaf or HoH children.
All our video stories are available to watch on our Deaf Children NZ youtube channel and they all have Closed Captions or a NZSL version.

Parent Hui 2015
In April 2015 DCNZ (then called New Zealand Federation for Deaf Children) with support from the Ministry of Education hosted a weekend hui for parents and whānau of Deaf and HoH children aged 0-5.
A series of videos was produced around topics that are relevant to all parents of a Deaf or HoH child – audiology, NZSL, developing language, audio verbal therapy, supporting positive behaviours, transition into school and more.
